Our research team studies basic principles of physiology and pathology relevant to benign and malignant thoracic diseases. We have particular interest in studying mechanisms of lung cancer spread via air spaces and the role of microdeformation on tissue repair and healing. We emphasize student mentorship and host an annual summer research program in the laboratory for talented students.
